Festival for Winemakers

Make your own wine? At least curious about it? I just learned that www.WinePress.US -- according to its Web site, "the largest wine-making and grape-growing discussion forum on the Internet" -- will host its third annual WineFest here in St. Louis Thursday, August 23 - Saturday, August 25. The festival will feature seminars on various aspects of winemaking, a wine tasting of amateur wines and a tour of Little Hills Winery. A complete list of WineFest events and costs is here.

Speaking of events: Tonight Whole Foods hosts a special "Meet the Makers" dinner featuring locally raised beef. Alex Weir has the details here.
