Mike Mills of 17th Street Bar & Grill fame has another feather to stick in his cap -- though he'll have to wait a few weeks to learn exactly how big that feather will be.
The September issue of Bon Appétit -- in my mailbox today -- features 17th Street in an article entitled "America's Top Restaurants." The magazine scoured the country to find the best restaurants in six populist categories: pizza, steak, tacos, hamburgers, fried chicken and ribs. The article names three finalists in each category. As you might expect, 17th Street is a finalist for its ribs. The winners in each category will be announced August 18 on a Food Network special hosted by Alton Brown. Which means that it should be watchable.
Writing about the ribs at 17th Street is making me hungry. Don't know why? Read my review.
