Small Plates, Monday, 2/5

Jasoom Mexican Revolutionary Restaurant & Cantina has closed. The tiny South Grand eatery opened in 2005 as, simply, Jasoom, serving comfort food. Last year owners Chris Fletcher and Jeff Lund changed to a Mexican menu. You can check out my predecessor Rose Martelli's review of the original Jasoom here and read my impressions of the revamped restaurant here.

Meanwhile, last week the Grove neighborhood welcomed the diner After (4146 Manchester Ave, 314-652-4800) to its growing selection of bars and restaurants. After is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, which in itself makes it more "authentic" than most diners in town.
