While all of St. Louis continues to rage about the call in last night's Blues game, certain to go down as
the Worst Call in Playoff Hockey Ever in The History of the Whole Entire World and All of Human Civilization
, one St. Louis company is vowing to make things right.
The St. Louis Eye Institute is offering free LASIK
surgery to correct the vision of the NHL refs who did not see a hand pass even though they were looking directly at the action.
The very considerate organization made the offer on Facebook, posting this thoughtful message: “On behalf of all Blues fans, St. Louis Eye Institute is offering free LASIK eye surgery to any of the 4 referees officiating last night’s playoff game! Clearly you need some help.”
As one of our writers pointed out this morning, these referees seem to think that being able to see things with your eyes
isn’t a key part of their profession. The St. Louis Eye Institute, clearly, disagrees.
This kind and charitable organization might be assisting the referees in more than one way, too. Once the refs are finally able to see clearly, not only will they be able to do their fucking jobs
, it will be easier for them to dodge hockey sticks wielded by angry players
who just might accidentally knock them in the head.
Thanks, St. Louis Eye Institute. You’re true heroes.
