If you thought the Starbucks corporation just saw you as a source of profit, guess again! The Seattle-based caffeine purveyor likes you so much, it wants to hook you up with drinks for free.

As part of its "Project Give Good," in fact, the corporate behemoth is sending squads of people in red and green aprons across the country to hand out free $20 Starbucks gifts cards. The result? More people feeling good about their product, and perhaps even more people stopping by for something to drink — only this time, your drink is on the house. We'd call that a win win.

The "Give Good" squad will be at Winterfest at the Arch tomorrow, December 22, beginning at noon. They'll hand out the cards until they run out.

The giveaways are part of a $1 million effort nationwide — that's 50,000 cards total, which undoubtedly means a whole lot of free media just like this. Merry Christmas.
