This summer, if you want to get and wild, you're going to have to head to Dogtown.

Slide the City, the three-block-long touring water slide operation, made its St. Louis debut downtown last summer. But this year, slide organizers say they'd instead be setting up shop at Oakland and Hampton, in the shadow of Forest Park. They promise it will be "a smoother and speedier ride."

The St. Louis stop will take place Saturday, July 9 beginning at 9 a.m. Online registration begins tomorrow; tickets start at $10.

Organizers promise a well-organized event, with "wave times" in two-hour blocks to allow participants to enjoy the accompanying street party without having to wait in line to take their turn. Street entertainers, music and local vendors are promised.
You must be at least five years old and 46 inches tall to join in the fun.
