Video Critics Tune into Lo-Fi Saint Louis; Like What They See

St. Louis video blogger Bill Streeter was nominated last week for the first annual Streamy Awards, honoring the best in Web television.

Streeter's Web site, Lo-Fi Saint Louis, is up for "Best Reality Web Series" along with some pretty famous names in William Shatner's Shatner Project and illusionist/comedian Penn Jillette's Penn Says.

Streeter tells me that the nomination came as a complete shock, especially since he's taken a bit of a hiatus from the Web site to assist his pregnant wife. (The couple had a baby boy earlier this month.)

"The last thing you expect when you take a break for a couple of months is to get nominated for an award, but it's a nice surprise to say the least," comments Streeter.

Streamy winners will be announced March 28 at the historic Wadsworth Theatre in Los Angeles. Streeter doubts he'll make the red-carpet fete, but is looking forward to posting new videos to his site soon.

"Lo-Fi ain't dead," he says. "I'm actually quite anxious to get back to making videos after such a long break."
