Who's Been Sleeping In My Bed?

Thanks to glowing letters of recommendation from the Consolidated Life Insurance Company's top executives, office drone Chuck Baxter is on the cusp of scaling the corporate ladder. See, after hours, Chuck sweats it out on the park bench, while these unhappily married managers use his apartment as a safe haven for their quickie romantic trysts. Then, just as Baxter's future seems assured, the girl he's set his sights on ends up in his apartment...with the company's personnel manager. The '60s come out swingin' for the fences in Promises, Promises, the Neil Simon, Burt Bacharach and Hal David musical based on Billy Wilder's Oscar-winning film The Apartment. Stages St. Louis' production of Promises, Promises opens Friday, July 16, and shows continue every day except Monday through Sunday, August 15, at the Robert G. Reim Theatre in the Kirkwood Civic Center (111 South Geyer Road, Kirkwood; 314-821-2407 or www.stagesstlouis.org). Tickets are $49.
Tuesdays-Sundays. Starts: July 16. Continues through Aug. 15, 2010
