Kids say the darnedest things. Give them a microphone and a camera, though, and they might really blow you away. That's the thinking behind Point-of-View: 2Read+2Write=4Music, an exhibit featuring photos taken by a group of ten- to thirteen-year-olds participating in an after-school program in the Jennings School District. The kids have been learning how to write and record their own rap songs and they've been taking pictures of one another over the course of the program. Now, in conjunction with the Public Policy Research Center at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, a selection of the photographs is being displayed at the William D. Tharp Civic Center (8720 Jennings Station Road, Jennings). The exhibit will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. through Tuesday, September 26.
