John Ford's 1940 adaptation of "The Grapes of Wrath" has been lauded as one of the greatest American films of all time. Starring a young Henry Fonda as Tom Joad, the movie is a heartfelt, poignant treatment of Steinbeck's novel, which was published only one year earlier.
