The Ca-Nine Lives of Skippyjon Jones

Jan 12, 2012 at 4:00 am
Siamese kitten Skippyjon Jones has a big imagination between those two big ears of his. Forced to take a time-out in his room for not behaving like a proper cat, Skippyjon finds escape by taking on the persona of Skippito Friskito, the legendary Chihuahua sword fighter of Old Mexico. In his adventure, the Zorro-like Skippito comes to the aid of his Chihuahua chums, Los Chimichangos, who are being terrorized by the evil Bublebeeto Bandito. St. Louis Family Theater brings Judy Schachner's popular children's book to the stage in a musical must-see for all of your little banditos. Skippyjon Jones is performed at 7:30 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday (January 20 through 22) at the Florissant Civic Center Theatre (Parker Road and Waterford Drive, Florissant). Tickets are $7. For more information or to make reservations, call 314-921-5678 or go to www.florissantmo.com.
