Puppet-treat

Bakeries have to be one of the busiest places this time of year (second only to the malls), what with all the demand for desserts for holiday parties and treats for Santa. And even when the sweet shops close their doors each evening, all is not quiet — the fun continues late into the night! See for yourself at Kramer's Marionnette Theater (4143 Laclede Avenue; www.kramersmarionnettes.com), where more than 30 puppets present the after-hours bake-shop scene. Christmas in the Bakery runs twice daily Monday through Saturday and once on Sunday through Monday, December 31, and marionette demos precede each show. Tickets cost $7.50 to $8.50 (for just the performance) and $9.50 to $10.50 for the demonstration and the show, and reservations are required; call 314-531-3313 to save your spot!
