Proper Perfection

As inhabitants of a civilized society, we should -- nay, must -- uphold certain standards of living. For example, let's all make a commitment to return our shopping carts to the corral, hmmm-kay? And how about we all stand firm and properly wait our turn in line, rather than attempt to skip ahead? And would it kill anyone to try and walk around and be generally pleasant, at least once in a while? Sheesh! We tend to think that Mrs. Mannerly would agree. She's an exacting teacher of etiquette, and not surprisingly, none of her young students have met her precise standards. However, one of her current students, Jeffrey, is determined to try -- he's paying attention and learning as much manner-type stuff as he can in her class, but he also learns a little something else. You, too, might pick up a few tips for life and for refined living during Max & Louie Productions' Mrs. Mannerly, which is staged at the Center of Creative Arts (524 Trinity Avenue, University City).
