Pot, Luck=Winner!

The stakes are high at the Argosy Casino, but this weekend the comedy is even higher as Tommy Chong, the hippie half of the counterculture comedy duo Cheech & Chong, lights up the stage with another distinguished partner -- wife Shelby Chong, who starred in no less than four of the classic Cheech & Chong films.

After Cheech & Chong disbanded in the mid-´80s, Tommy went solo, eventually appearing on That ´70s Show, but he really made headlines when his home was raided during Operation Pipe Dreams in 2003. Chong Glass, the family's glass-pipe business, landed Tommy in federal prison for nine months, leading to an award-winning documentary a.k.a. Tommy Chong and book The I Chong: Meditations from the Joint.

Doubtless, you will hear about these meditations and more when Chong and Chong appear at Argosy's Music Hall (219 Piasa Street, Alton, Illinois) on Friday and Saturday (April 27 and 28), with shows at 7 and 9 p.m. each night. Tickets are $15, so grab your best buds and call 800-711-4263 to make a buy. Visit www.argosycasinos.com/stlouis for more information.
