As you get older it gets more problematic trying to go home again. Your parents pass on, friends move away and inexorable change ensures that your particular patch of native ground won't look the same. The woods and railroad tracks where you and your pals hung out are a subdivision now; the old corn fields are asphalted. But what does it mean to look home when that place is mortally imperiled by environmental devastation? That's the question My Louisiana Love poses. This documentary film traces the true story of a young Louisiana woman, a member of the Houma tribe, who in journeying to her family's ancestral home runs face-first into the destruction wrought on it by the oil and gas industry in the Delta.
