Iron-calfed, spandex-clad hot shots make commuter cycling look at once effortless and intimidating. And while taking your cycle to the streets is always daunting for beginners, a whole new set of problems awaits those who decide to swap their air-conditioned morning drive for a sweaty saddle. A lucky few have locker rooms at their disposal (we're looking at you, lifeguards and personal trainers), and many workplaces lack a strict dress code, but schlepping to a job where you're expected to dress for business makes the whole endeavor all the more tricky. Trailnet's got the concerned cyclist's back with this month's Trailnet on Tap discussion at Schlafly Tap Room (2100 Locust Street; 314-241-2337 or www.schlafly.com). Josh Wiese, Mayor Francis Slay's scheduler, presents tips and tricks for maintaining professionalism while biking to work -- and we're not talkin' sleeveless suit jackets and cut-off slacks. Join the discussion at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26, and feel free to loosen that tie, kick off your heels and indulge in a few brews.
