Chances are you'll leave the fabulous Fox Theatre (527 North Grand Boulevard) singing about Maria and her complicated love life. West Side Story has it all – romance, heartbreak, action and, of course, manly-men singing, snapping and dancing in sync to dish out their disputes with rival gangs. Just imagine how much more civil and stylish American gangs would be if they replaced gun violence with song-fighting, a la West Side's Jets and Sharks (or, more recently, Glee's New Directions and Warblers). Fifty years after its debut, West Side Story is still thriving, with David Saint using Tony Award-winning Arthur Laurents' Broadway direction for this production. The show will run from Tuesday, February 14, to Sunday, February 26. Showtimes vary, and ticket prices range from $15 to $85. For more information, call 314-534-1678 or visit www.fabulousfox.com.
