Hey, Ho, Let's Shop!

Being an excellent gift-giver is more an art form than a skill. It's about gut instinct, rather than staring at the gift-card kiosk and choosing something easy, quick and passable. If you weren't born with the gift-giving gene, don't panic -- make plans instead to do your shopping at the Rock n Roll Craft Show. Held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday (November 23 to 25) at the Third Degree Glass Factory (5200 Delmar Boulevard), this modern craft show has cool, well-made wares in spades -- think Etsy but up-close and in-person -- and great gifts spill over. Keep an eye out for unique bracelets for Mom, original artwork for your beau, presh onesies for the babes and hand-crafted wood cutting boards for your sis, the budding chef, all created with love by artists, artisans and crafters (too numerous to mention here). In other words, if you haven't been the star of the holidays yet, this is your year, baby! Admission to the show costs $10 on Friday and $3 the rest of the weekend.
