Garlands of Song

There's snow on the ground and the lights are up all over town, but you're just not feeling Christmas this year. How can you get from Scroogy to groovy? Easy: Buy a ticket to Yule Tube, the Gateway Men's Chorus holiday concert. The GMC culls the finest songs from our shared Christmas memories and puts its unique spin on old favorites from The Charlie Brown Christmas Special, White Christmas and even How the Grinch Stole Christmas. There are also the standard GMC curve balls in the form of popular songs that have been warped into seasonally-appropriate carols. What Queen song makes for a holly jolly Christmas? Only one way to find out. Yule Tube is performed at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday (December 13 and 14) at the Edison Theatre on Washington University campus (6445 Forsyth Boulevard; 314-289-4169 or www.gmcstl.org). Tickets are $15 to $25.
