Gallery Talk: Elizabeth C. Childs

Elizabeth C. Childs, Etta and Mark Steinberg Professor of Art History and chair of the Department of Art History & Archaeology in Arts & Sciences, and exhibition curator for Spectacle and Leisure in Paris: Degas to Mucha, will lead a discussion with art history graduate students Meg Galindo, Lauren Johnson, Kirsten Marples, and Lindsay Sheedy, who contributed essays to the exhibition catalog. Bringing together a broad selection of prints, posters, photographs, and film, the exhibition offers an overview of the thriving entertainment cultures of Paris in the last decades of the 19th century.
