Gallery Talk: Elizabeth C. Childs

Elizabeth C. Childs, Etta and Mark Steinberg Professor of Art History and chair of the Department of Art History & Archaeology in Arts & Sciences, and exhibition curator for Spectacle and Leisure in Paris: Degas to Mucha, will lead a discussion with art history graduate students Meg Galindo, Lauren Johnson, Kirsten Marples, and Lindsay Sheedy, who contributed essays to the exhibition catalog. Bringing together a broad selection of prints, posters, photographs, and film, the exhibition offers an overview of the thriving entertainment cultures of Paris in the last decades of the 19th century. Free and open to the public.
