Every Saturday and Sunday (September 11 through 26), the normally quiet Rotary Park is transformed into a raging Caribbean port city during the Golden Age of Piracy. Fort Royal, on the French island of Martinique (wink), is over-run with jolly pirates, fancy nobles, kindly fishmongers and dozens of street performers. Admission is $8 (kids younger than five are free), and hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, visit www.stlpiratefest.com. Tell 'em Calico Jack sent you.
Saturdays, Sundays. Starts: Sept. 11. Continues through Sept. 26, 2010
