A Fair Day for Shopping

Jun 14, 2012 at 4:00 am
This Saturday, Soulard isn't just a source for market-fresh eats -- it's also where you can find fresh, original arts and crafts made by your fellow St. Louisans. At the third annual Soulard Market Park Arts & Crafts Fair, expect to browse these lovely items, certain to be charming enough to brighten up your day. Perhaps you'll happen upon a necklace that will complement the perfect date-night ensemble, or maybe you'll find a handsomely framed artwork for that space at home you've never been quite sure how to fill. Whatever fetching finds you acquire, they're sure to be one-of-a-kind and distinctively made with St. Lou pride. The fair is set up at South Ninth Street and Lafayette Avenue from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. the third Saturdays of June, July and August. Admission is free, but your goodies aren't, so bringing cash makes for smart shopping. And for more details about the nearby Soulard Farmers' Market and the fresh produce that awaits you there, check out www.soulardmarket.com.
Third Saturday of every month. Starts: June 16. Continues through Aug. 18, 2012
