This season, explore a bit of St. Louis that may be overlooked by going on the Historic Holiday Candlelight Tour. The six landmarks that are included in the holiday festivities are the Campbell House Museum (1508 Locust Street), the historic Samuel Cupples House (3673 West Pine Mall), the Chatillon-DeMenil Mansion (3352 DeMenil Place), the Eugene Field House & St. Louis Toy Museum (pictured; 634 South Broadway), the Scott Joplin House State Historic Site (2658A Delmar Boulevard) and the Old Courthouse (11 North Fourth Street). A buffet dinner will be served at Café DeMenil (call 314-771-5828 for reservations) from 4 to 7 p.m. for the price of $9.95, which is in addition to the cost of the tour ($20 in advance, $25 the day of the tour and $5 for children younger than thirteen years old). To obtain a ticket, call the Eugene Field House at 314-421-4689, and visit www.campbellhousemuseum.org for more information. Shuttle buses take tourgoers to the sites from 3 to 8 p.m., but participants can opt for a self-guided tour if they wish.
